This is an upgrade model on the A700 and identical to the A800 except in the replacement of the 3 times zoom with a more powerful 4 times zoom and the introduction of dual compatibility with SD or xD memory cards. This is a camera for users wanting a simple, easy to use and affordable automatic camera for causal, general use photography. Upgraded from the A700, the CCD moves from a 7.3 to 8.3 megapixels, the ISO (light sensitivity) has increased from ISO 400 to ISO 800; the LCD is enlarged slightly from 2.4 inches to a more class standard 2.5 inches; movie mode now records clips at 30 frames per second as opposed to 10 frames per second; and the voice memo function on the A700 has been discarded on the A800.
Fuji FinePix A820 Specifications: • 8.3 Megapixel Super CCD HR • 4 x Optical Zoom • Mode Dial and On-Screen Shooting Guide • Versatile Scene Positions • Intelligent Flash • Picture Stabilisation Mode • 2.5 Inch LCD Short Review: This camera has a classic compact camera design with a well styled bulge on the shutter button side for better grip, a design motif throughout the A series which also does a lot aesthetically for this 31.8mm model. Round the back the LCD screen is 2.5 inches wide. With 8.3 megapixels you can get an 8×10 inch print at full resolution with greater enlargement possible to achieve high quality poster size prints. The 4 times optical zoom is a 35mm film equivalent to 39-156mm, which will give you a perspective from just a bit over standard wide angle to short, sufficient for small groups of people and good portraits External Reviews:
