With 7.1 megapixels you can get about an 8×10 inch print at full resolution with greater enlargement possible to achieve high quality poster size prints. The 3 times optical zoom is a 35mm film equivalent to 38-114mm, which will give you a perspective from just a touch over standard wide angle to short telephoto for small group pictures and good portraits. It also has a 5 times digital zoom. The TruePic III processor has an improved noise filter for clean and clear pictures and faster processing. This camera is also capable of a high 1600 ISO for better lowlight photography.
