This is a good all round performance and optics camera from Sony featuring a 12 megapixel CMOS sensor. A good camera for enthusiasts wanting good image quality and ideal for action photography like sports thanks to a very high 3200ISO (light sensitivity) setting, expandable to 6400 ISO, and 5 frames per second shooting for up to 17 frames RAW + JPEG and unlimited for JPEG alone. In performance terms it also has a highly accurate 11 point autofocus Its aluminium alloy body feels solid and it has an ergonomic grip on the shutter button side. For party pics and portraiture, the camera is also image stabilised for sharp pictures at slow shutter speeds. The A700 also offers users the option of using either SD or Compact Flash cards.
This kit comes with an 18-70mm f3.5/f5.6 lens that is a 35mm equivalent focal length range of 27-105mm for a good perspective range from extra wide angle to short telephoto.

Short Review:
Its magnesium and aluminium alloy body feels solid and it has an ergonomic grip on the shutter button side. A quick navigation button makes it fast and easy to change settings through the menu. Round the back you’ll find a large 3 inch LCD for better previewing.
At 12 megapixels, the CMOS sensor will produce poster size prints at normal resolution. With on-chip analogue to digital conversion, the A700 also delivers good noise reduction.
